Hello! My name is Pamela Sowers. When I came in, I was having a multitude of problems. I had fallen 13 years ago. I was having headaches as well as horrible mid and low back pain. Even before the fall, I had insomnia. I always had a lot of trouble sleeping. I was taking pain medication as well. For sleeping, I was taking Ambien CR and then switched me to Lunesta. While on the Ambien CR, I actually drove my car without even knowing it. I did not know I was driving. I was pulled over by the police and had no memory of it. A fine came in the mail. I never had a fine in my life for anything. The fine indicated that I hit the sign at McDonald’s. My husband went down to see if it was knocked down and it was. I knew it was getting risky being on the sleeping medications, but I could not get off. I tried, but I could not sleep. I got switched to Lunesta and I was still taking things like Benadryl on top of that to create the drowsiness affect so I could sleep. The medicine was not making me feel good at all. The next day, I was dragging and drowsy. I never felt good from it.
After two weeks of coming here for adjustments to treat my headaches, mid and low back pain, I started sleeping better and had relief in my pain. Instead of sleeping for 2 hours, I started sleeping 4-5 hours. Within a month, I quit taking all of my sleeping medication. I AM OFF OF ALL OF IT AND I AM SLEEPING 8-9 HOURS WITHOUT TAKING ANYTHING. When I got off of all of that, I believe that helped my body to heal. I got passed the insomnia. My daughter is experiencing the same things through chiropractic treatment. I believe it cures insomnia and others say there is no cure for insomnia. There is a cure for insomnia. It is called Harcourt Chiropractic Office.
I consulted a different chiropractor in the past and did not experience these results. What makes Harcourt Chiropractic Office different? I believe it is the whole treatment method and the way each patient is approached with individualized care. It is not the same type of treatment for everybody. The doctors work with us patiently until we get to the place where our body will respond. Our body does the work, but Drs. Gary and Tim remove the interference and bring it along to be able to do it. I believe our bodies do have the ability to heal, but you have to have the right doctor to get you the place where your body will do the work. I am very happy with my care at Harcourt Chiropractic Office. It has changed my life dramatically. I feel blessed!
July 16, 2009 Hello! My name is T. J. Ostrom. I have been in pain for about 6 years or so. I thought it would go away. I used to play golf pretty seriously and thought about playing professionally. I had this pain in my college years and it made me go in a different path in life because I thought it was the end of the road for my golfing and that I will not be able to play like that again. Luckily, I joined a networking group and got to meet Dr. Harcourt. I had chiropractic care in the past. It really did not help. Dr. Gary seemed like he had a different approach to help me. I had symptoms in my neck and I could not turn my head very far. It always bothered me when I slept and played golf as well as other activities. I also had some lower back pain. I really wanted to get my neck better because I could not turn it very far to play golf. I was also having trouble swallowing. It came out of nowhere. With my work, we do customer lunches, it was embarrassing because I did not know when it was going to happen. I did not want to eat certain things. After Dr. Gary explained the nervous system to me, I realized that the chiropractic adjustments can help that, too. I don’t have any problems swallowing now. I never would have thought about that. It is amazing what chiropractic helps to treat. A definite difference in the care here was that I came in and Dr. Gary actually told what is wrong and found the part of my back and neck that is bothering me. He showed me and told me why chiropractic care might be able to help. I noticed an immediate difference in my neck even after the first visit. I walked out of the office saying to myself that I probably needed to do this awhile ago. After my second visit, I attended the Back Class. The class really helped me realize what kind of things I need to do to make sure the adjustments help. I was not over doing things at work or home to set me back. Before the class, I was doing things the wrong way. I do the exercises that we talked about. I do them in the bathroom in the morning. They really work! Another big difference from my past chiropractic experience is that we kept an eye on it. I liked having the check-ups each week and going over what got better and what we needed to work on. There is actually a way to put numbers to it. That is awesome! I was re-tested today with a 90% improvement! I am graduating from active care and will come in regular for adjustments to keep me healthy. My experience at the office cannot be beat! Everyone is nice and smiles. I even got some thank you notes in the mail. I will definitely recommend this chiropractic office to anyone! I have recommended Dr. Gary to a few people and I am hoping that they come in. People don’t realize that it is just not going to go away. I waited 6 years for it to go away and it did not go away until I came here for care. Dr. Gary, thank you so much for everything. I feel wonderful! I entered a big golf tournament this weekend. I am starting to play rounds of golf like I used to. I don’t know where it will go. I am hoping that I get the opportunity to coach kids or use it again for something. Last week, I was six under through 11 holes and I shot a 64. I think I can go out and win it! Thanks for your help! My wife thanks you because I am sleeping through the night and not bugging her. I am so much happier! Thank you, I appreciate it! March 25, 2009 Hello! My name is J. Wesley Heinle. I am 18 years old. I have been coming to Harcourt Chiropractic Office for a couple of years now. I first started with treatment to my wrist that I had broken. Since then, it has turned into a great relationship with Dr. Tim & Dr. Gary where I have been coming in to get anything and everything done to help me pursue my hockey goals. I was injured and diagnosed with a Grade 2 AC separation. I came in and Dr. Tim treated me with the laser and electrical stimulation. Dr. Gary taped my shoulder and I am good to go. I started playing hockey when I was 5 years old. At first, I started playing locally, then, I branched off into Hershey and Lancaster. Currently, our team is located in Lancaster, Central Penn Panthers Junior Ice Hockey Club. I travel up and down the east coast.
